1. Archaeological Museum of Kavala
The Archaeological Museum of Kavala features exhibits from the wider regions of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. In its halls, you’ll learn all about the history of Kavala from Prehistoric times and antiquity to the Byzantine period and beyond.
2. Tobacco Museum
You find yourself in front of an industrial building, which is one of the more modern-looking former tobacco warehouses of Kavala.
3. The buildings of Kyprou Street
You find yourself on Kyprou, the smallest street in Kavala. It is just 350 metres long but it hides all of the city’s modern history.
4. Municipal Tobacco Warehouse
As you look around Kapnergati Square, a grand pink-coloured building will grab your attention. It was built in 1910 by industrialist and tobacco merchant Kiazim Emin to house his company and is one of the most impressive former tobacco warehouses to have survived in Kavala.
